Mallory Thompson, conductor; She-e Wu, timpani.The Symphonic Wind Ensemble's first performance of the fall season features the debut of She-e Wu, Northwestern's new director of percussion. The program includes Leonard Bernstein's Overture to Candide, Aaron Copland's The Promise of Living, Michael Daugherty's Raise the Roof, Percy Grainger's Children's March, and David Maslanka's A Child's Garden of Dreams.
