Previously associate principal flute of the Houston Symphony and principal flute of the San Antonio Symphony, John Thorne has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Philharmonic, Chicago’s Bach Week Festival, Da Camera of Houston, and the Florida Wind Quintet. He has given master classes and recitals throughout the country and has served on competition juries, including those for the National Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Harpsichordist Mark Shuldiner has performed with the Newberry Consort, Music of the Baroque, and the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra. He recently performed harpsichord, celeste, and organ accompaniment for staged productions of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea. Associate principal cello of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and a founding member of the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, Kenneth Olsen won first prize in the Nakamichi Cello Competition.
